About Us:

ZA/UM is a video game studio that in 2019 released the award-winning role-playing game Disco Elysium. We are based in the UK and Europe, we have offices in Porto, Brighton and London. Our team is spread across a number of countries around the globe. Currently, the team is composed of over 70 writers, artists, developers and producers.

The Role

You are a character artist with an eye for stylised design and interesting features. You bring a passion and understanding of modelling, character design and the creative pipeline. You’ll work closely with the art team to craft the cast of an immersive and stylish world.

Scope of work:
  • Reduce and optimise High-poly sculpts into a low poly game ready meshes
  • Bake High-Poly model information into Low-Poly mesh
  • Work closely with both Character Art and Animation teams to develop game-ready character assets.
Skills & Requirements
  • Industry experience in a similar role // Minimum 2-3 years
  • Knowledge of Blender, Zbrush, Marvelous Designer, Substance Painter, or equivalent
  • Ability to produce meshes suitable for animation based on parameters established
  • by Tech Art and Animation teams
  • Comfortable and accomplished at working with remote teams.
  • A love for role-playing games
  • Knowledge of the rigging and skinning pipeline
  • Unity knowledge for asset integration
