ZA/UM is a video game studio that in 2019 released the award-winning role-playing game Disco Elysium. We have offices in London and Brighton, but our team is spread across a number of countries around the globe. Currently, the team is composed of around 50 writers, artists, developers and producers.

You have experience of leading a AAA game production process. You have trained yourself to be a structured pathfinder, preserver of systems, diffuser of dynamic knowledge. Scope of work
  • Work directly with Studio leadership
  • Define, implement and maintain production processes, project roadmaps, backlogs, workflows, pipelines and progress-data.
  • Take charge of scheduling and workloads of the team. Keep team morale, challenges and motivation at optimum balance.
  • Grow the team as the project evolves. Keep an eye out for new recruits.
  • Build and keep effective communication structures for the studio and collaborators.
  • Set goals for the team, give regular feedback and mentor team-members.
  • Keep stakeholders advised on project status, point out risks and opportunities in a clear manner and far ahead of time. Take ownership of implementing solutions.
Skills and experience
  • Experience at a Senior production level and titles shipped with medium to large team sizes from concept to street.
  • Excellent people management skills.
  • Highly organised, can balance multiple priorities and deliveries.
  • Ability to conceptualise a production process, establish priorities and define benchmarks for the team.
  • Practical understanding of varied production processes and capacity to ensure that the team follows and understands the benefits of these methodologies.
  • Good judgement, problem solving skills, and an ability to reach conclusions.
  • Experience and ability to tell the difference between good and bad team dynamics and the capacity to react appropriately.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, on both personal and team level.
