Unity Technical Animator

ZA/UM is a video game studio that in 2019 released the award-winning role-playing game Disco Elysium. We have offices in London and Brighton, but our team is spread across a number of countries around the globe. Currently, the team is composed of around 50 writers, artists, developers and producers.

THE ROLE:

Bring life to the world of our next game project by assembling cutscenes and creating animation systems that control character behaviours. Collaborate with animators to bring animation to the next level.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implementing animations to Unity
• Setting up animation systems
• Assembling cutscenes
• Create real-time constraints through the C# Job system
• Collaborate with other developers to make sure game systems are compatible

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2+ years as a technical animator or equivalent.
• Game development experience with at least 1 shipped game.

SKILLS:

• Familiarity with the Unity game engine
• Understand Unity’s Animation Rigging
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to work in a team
• Willing to teach and learn
